Just 16 miles long and two miles wide, Dry Creek Vallley is home to one of the densest concentrations of old vine zinfandel in the world. And it is without question that Dry Creek Vineyard is the winery that paved the way for a renaissance of winemaking and viticulture in the Dry Creek Valley. Founded in 1972 by David Stare, Dry Creek Vineyards remains one of the few remaining private, family-owned, wineries in Sonoma County, today run by second-generation Kim Stare Wallace with her husband Don Wallace. This Heritage Vines Zin is superbly balanced, with aromas of black cherry and warm spices and a complex palate, with bright acidity complemented by deeper notes of cedar, leather, and dark brown sugar.
