Located just west of the town of Jumilla, Bodegas Luzon was founded by the Gil family in 1916. Family-owned to this day, the estate, surrounded by small mountains, comprises 216 acres planted at altitudes of up to 2,100 feet. This wine is 100% Monastrell (Mourvedre), the red grape for which this region is famous. Earthy, bold and robust, filled with dark fruits, this is a full-flavored red rounded off by a touch of oak to give it a toasty complexity underpinned by that rich, powerful, dark-berried fruit.
