Italian-American Curtis Frasca made his awesome reputation as an entrepreneur, real estate investor, music publisher, record label owner, award-winning record producer, songwriter, and studio engineer. In 2018 he added “wine producer” to that impressive list, when he joined forces with winemaker Matteo Gerbi, founding the Frasca Winery in the Nizza Monferrato region of Piedmont. The winery comprises 55 acres of vineyards within the municipalities of Nizza Monferrato, Agliano Terme, and Moasca, all carefully selected to represent the different characteristics of the Barbera region (although other varietals are grown here as well). The vineyards in Cizza are widely thought to produce the highest expression of Barbera, and this version will show you why: full-bodied and complex, with aromas of ripe red fruits, it has a palate rich with juicy fruit, silky tannins, and crisp acidity.
