Located at the Hackett Ranch in Yakima, Washington, Gilbert Cellars is a small family-run winery focusing on handcrafted, small batches of authentic Washington wines. The Gilbert family has been working the land here for five generations, but it is the current generation, Charlie and his wife Gloria, in partnership with veteran Washington winemaker Justin Neufeld, who shifted the focus to grapes and wine. “Left Bank” is, not surprisingly, their take on a Left Bank Bordeaux: a classic blend of Cab, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Full-bodied, with lush tannins and bright fruit, the wine shows notes of dark cherry, dried herbs, and cedar.
