This wine takes us to Vergisson, a small, charming village in the Maconnais, where Sylvie and Giles Guerrin started their domain in 1984; Guerrin’s parents sold their grapes to the local cooperative before he decided to establish the domaine. They now have nearly 35 acres of vines scattered throughout the region, and have been joined since 2017 by one of their daughters, Blandine, in the family business. Given their location, it is not surprising that the Guerrins are devote exclusively to white wine (mostly Chardonnay) production: in addition to this Pouilly-Fuisse they offer a Macon, a Saint-Veran, and a sparkling wine. Their Pouilly-Fuisse is a crisp, round, and supple white with a satiny texture balanced by a fine line of acidity.
