Franciacorta has been called Italy’s hidden gem: A world-class metodo classico, or bottle-fermented sparkler produced in the Franciacorta region of Lombardy, it boasts pedigree and style, yet remains largely unknown outside of Italy. This version is from Azienda Agricola Mosnel, a fifth-generation family-owned winery, today in the hands of Giulio and Lucia Barzano. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir, their Franciacorta Brut is classically styled, with crisp fruit, tangy acidity, and a lingering elegant finish.
