Alberto Salvadori inherited La Battagliola, a beautiful country house in Piumazzo in the Modenese plains, from his mother in 1999. He immediately left the logistics business to become a farmer and planted the estate with 70,000 vine cuttings of Lambrusco Grasparossa. The wine is deep blood red with a hint of purple and it froths charmingly when poured. The taste is full of red berries – strawberries, currants ─and the wine is low in alcohol, at only 5%.
