This domaine, centered on an old 16th century chapel in the Chateauneuf appellation, was founded in 1976 by Gérard and Marie-Claude Bonnet, the Bonnet family being well-known negociants in the Rhone valley. Today the estate comprises some 125 acres and is in the capable hands of son Michel Bonnet. His Gigondas is Grenache-driven, with small additions of Syrah and Mourvedre; it has an intense nose of jammy strawberries, black olives and brown spices with smoky mineral notes and is round and smooth on the palate, with a silky and dense finish and impressive length.
