It all started in 1860, when French immigrant to Argentina David Michel married Gabriela Torino. David, convinced of the potential of the high-altitude vineyards of the Colchaqui Valley to deliver unique wines, pioneered planting quality vines in the region. Today Michel Torino Wines, now produced by Bodega El Eseco, continues to deliver on that promise. This Malbec, offered in tribute to founder “Don David,” is sourced entirely from vineyards high in the Andes, where hot days and cool nights, ack of rainfall and a dry shallow soil allow for minimal human interference to the natural growth cycle of the vines. lack of rainfall and a dry shallow soil allow for minimal human interference to the natural growth cycle of the vines. This is a Malbec done in a young, juicy style, with minimal oak influence and just five months of aging in the cellar prior to bottling and release.
