The husband-and-wife team of John House and Ksenija Kostic, who worked together for several years at Oregon’s Chehalem winery, set up on their own in 2011, with the specific aim of producing Oregon wines that are honest reflections of their time and place. Grapes for their wines, almost all white at the moment, are sourced from nine different vineyards throughout the state, all of which are focused on sustainable farming practices. Their EZY TGR line, which currently comprises this Pinot and a red blend, takes them into red territory and fits easily into the (easy to drink, easy to come back to category. The Pinot is classic Willammette Pinot, with fresh ripe berries on the nose and elegant silky tannins on the palate.
