This winery was founded in 1921 by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo; today it is run by Enrico Scavino with his daughters Enrica and Elisa who represent the fourth generation here. They own some 58 acres of prime vineyard land throughout the Barolo region of Piedmont. Scavino wines are always characterized by purity, elegance, and freshness, and this 2015 Barolo Bricco Ambrogio is a perfect example. Full-bodied and concentrated, it features a distinctive bouquet of cedar, spice, and toasted hazelnuts, bright and vivid yet deep and dense on the palate, with a long, flavorful finish.
