Philip Togni has been producing outstanding and highly sought after Napa Valley wines since the early 1980s. This is a true family estate: Philip works alongside his wife Birgitta and daughter Lisa and uses only grapes grown on their own 25-acre estate on Spring Mountain, where they also live. This is a classic Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, all estate-grown, the vines being between 23 and 35 years old. Praised by one critic as a “brilliant, classic, agewothy wine,” this is a medium- to full-bodied red with firm tannins, great intensity, and the freshness, purity and elegance that characterize this vintage.
