Domaine Puech Redon, located about twenty miles northwest of Nimes in southern France, is a large property of nearly 1,000 acres (though only a small portion planted to vines); it is the property of Cyril Cuche, whose grandfather acquiref it shortly after the end of the Second World War. Cyril’s father farmed the land conventionally for thirty years, but Cyril, who took over twenty years ago, converted to organic/biodynamic principles. Since 2017 Cuche has been working collaboratively with famed natural winemaker Eric Texier. Their L’Apparente is an 80/20 blend of Cinsault and Mourvedre; fresh and zingy but hearty as well, it has bold aromas and flavors backed by bright acidity.
