Roger Zannier made his first fortune in the French clothing industry. He then went on to indulge his passion for hospitality, gastronomy, and viticulture: the Zannier family owns hotels in the French Alps, Cambodia, Namibia, and Vietnam, and they own Chateau Saint-Maur in Provence and Quinta do Pessegueiro in the Douro Valley of Portugal. The winery is located in Alto Douro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site noted for its exceptional beauty, where the terroirs produce wines that notably express the extraordinary character of the place. This red, a 50/50 blend of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, is rich and full-flavored, , beautifully balanced, with peppery notes, elegant tannins, and a long and persistent finish.
