Quinta do Portal is a family-owned and -run Port house, today in the hands of the fifth generation of the Mansilha family; the base for its foundtion was a Port wine estate (Quinta dos Muros) that has been in the family since 1881. They produce table wines, both red and white, as well as a full range of port bottlings. This is their 2018 Colheita (colheita [ports are tawny ports from a single harvest aged in wood for several years before being bottled), a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinto Roriz, and Touriga Franca; ripe and smoothly textured, with generous black fruits and attractive acidity, it is ready to be enjoyed now.
