Thorne and Daughters Wines was started in 2012 by John and Tasha Seccombe to produce authentic wines in the Western Cape of South Africa where they have made their home. Here they are, in the words of their motto, raising handcrafted wines along with their two daughters. “Rocking Horse” is a blend of six different grapes – Semillon, Chardonnay, Roussanne, Clairette Blanches, Chenin Blanc, and Viura – sourced from different parts of the region; it has aromas of white peach, lime leaf, and rosemary and is broad and rich on the palate, with a keen line of acidity and gentle tannins.
