Carpineta Fontalpino was founded in 1967 by Italo Cresti. The estate, with 27 acres under vine, sits just outside Siena in the area famed for an 800-year-old battle between Florence and Siena. Today the winery is run by Italo’s children Gioia and Filippo. Theirs is a typical expression of Chianti Classico, highlighting the innate characteristics of pure Sangiovese grapes grown in Tuscany, with classic aromas, structure, balance, persistence, and versatility.
