This small estate is located in the town of Chiroubles, with vineyards in Chroubles, Fleurie, and Morgon, where Gilles and his wife Christine tend 20 acres of Gamay, all certified as organic since 2023. During the Covid epidemic Gilles and Christine were joined by daughter Justine, who now gives assurance of continuity through the next generation. This Fleurie is sourced eentirely from the Grand Pre vineyard, where the vines are, on average, fifty years old. Made with carbonic maceration (initial fermentation within a sealed vessel containing carbon dioxide). Aged a year in neutral barrels and bottled unfined and unfiltered, this is a fruit-forward Beaujolais with aromas and flavors of ripe red fruits and a fleshy finish.
