The Lauverjat family has been growing grapes in Sancerre for generations in the tiny village of Sury-en-Vaux. Husband-and-wife team Christian and Karine have 30 acres of vines in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume; they were joined in 2019 by Karine’s son Kevin, and daughter Suzie helps Karine run their wine and gift shop in the center of Sancerre. Sourced from 30+-year-old vineyards across the river from Sancerre, this is an open and expressive version of Sauvignon Blanc that keeps the bright aromatics with a playful, fruit forward palate, while maintaining that "fume" smokiness.
