The Hugg family has been growing grapes and making wine in Alsace since 1760. Based in Bergheim, the family farms more than sixty acres of vineyard, including vines in one of the most renowned Grand Crus of Alsace, the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergheim. This is their sparkling wine, a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir and made in the traditional “Methode Champenoise: Chardonnay for its body and acidity, Pinot Blanc for suppleness and delicacy and finally, Pinot Noir for its persistence.
