The Leflaive family has been rooted in Puligny Montrachet since 1717. In 1984 Olivier Leflaive launched his own company with the help of his brother Patrick and his uncle Vincent and quickly established himself as among Burgundy’s finest. He is continually expanding and has acquired several vineyards that allow him to develop and build a range of domaine wines alongside his negociant business. Leflaive’s Aligote, an historical grape variety of the region, blends grapes from plots in Puligny-Montrachet and Corpeau; done entirely in stainless steel, it has aromas of crisp green apples and a palate that is lean but balanced with notes of citrus and a smooth, clean finish.
