Based in Paso Robles, the Rabble Wine Company was founded in 2011 by longtime grape grower Rob Murray and his wife Nancy. Their aim from the start has been to be a grower-driven operation that showcases the best fruit from Paso Robles and the Santa Maria Valley. Rabble currently produces a rose, a Sauvignon Blanc, and six different reds, including this Bordeaux-style (and then some) Red Blend. “And then some” is to the point: this bottling brings together (successfully, we should add) Cab, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Tannat, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, and Malbec. Both floral and fruity, the wine offers aromas and flavors of dark cherries, violets, plums, cocoa, and black tea, underscored by youthful acidity and persistent minerality.
