Located in St. Gilles, which borders the Camargue region at the mouth of the Rhone River, Chateau Saint Cyrgues dates from the middle of the 17th century. After undergoing many changes of hands, it is today run by Jean-Pierre Ferraud and his son Loic, who is the sixth generation of his family to be in the wine trade. Like most wines from the far southern reaches of the Rhone, the St. Cyrgues wines carry the Costieres de Nimes designation. This rose is an 80/20 blend of Syrah and Grenache; light-bodied and fresh, it is well-fruited, though crisp and dry.
