The Povero family’s roots in the Langhe region of the Piedmont date from 1847, but it was only after the Second World War, in 1948, that Tumlin Povero planted his first vineyards, connecting with the traditions of his ancestors in so doing. Today this estate, Tenuta Larame, remains a family operation, in the hands of the third generation, with the fourth generation waiting in the wings. The family farms 125 acres planted to seven different grape varieties, a mix of red and white. This Roero Loreto “Tumlin” is 100% Nebbiolo: elegant and lifted on the nose, it has a supple palate showing cloves, cinnamon, and blood orange, framed by fine tannins and fresh acidity.
