Founded in 1925 by Emilio Trabanco, this house pioneered the production of natural cider in Asturias, Spain. The family created this new aperitif, "Alma de Trabanca Quinquina en Rama," in tribute to the founder of the house, who would always add a little cider to his vermouth, thus balancing the sweetness of vermouth with the refreshing acidity of his cider. Alma is produced by blending en rama (unfiltered) cider with white wine and various botanicals steeped in alcohol; it is bright, refreshing and satisfying, on its own or as a base for a wide range of cocktails.
