The Elena of Elena Spirits is Elena Currado Vietti , Vietti being a name that resonates immediately with lovers of Piedmontese wines, and Elena Spirits is very much a family enterprise, benefiting from the family’s long involvement not only with wine but with the world of liqueurs and spirits as well. Founded only in 2020, Elena Spirits is meant to be a proud representation of the region: only herbs native to the Langhe region and the Piedmontese Alps are used, all picked by hand, and their master distiller works with an 18th-century woof-fired still, and no modern concentrates or extracts are used, only natural, organic, and eco-sustainable ingredients. This sweet vermouth is based on a Barbaresco from the outstanding 2021 vintage, blended with a small amount of a white, Roero Arneis; with a selection of botanicals and herbs from the Piedmont; elegant and complex, it has an intense and harmonious flavor profile.
