Engine - Organic Gin (1L)
Engine Gin was founded in Piedmont in 2021 by Italian entrepreneur Paolo Dalla Mora, who took inspiration from motor sports to create a design that mimics an oil can. Ilva Saronno, the producer of Amaretto di Saronno, immediately acquired a 25% state in the company and by early 2024 had acquired full ownership. The packaging may have initially been a bit of a marketing tool, but the critics agreed that there was quality content inside the bottle. Light, somewhat floral, and decidedly herbaceous, it features sage at the forefront with lemon, juniper, and a warm peppery finish.
