Hayman Distillers is a UK family company that dates from 1863, when Christopher Hayman’s grandfather, James Burrough, bought a small distillery in London. James Burrough Limited was sold to Whitbread in 1987, but the family retained part of the enterprise as Hayman Distillers. They produce a wide range of spirits, including this Royal Dock, a navy strength gin with a robust and bright profile. Navy strength gin is bottled at 57% alc, which was the strength required to enable gunpowder to still light if gin was spilt on it.
