The Social Hour Cocktails line boasts with pride “Born in Brooklyn” and “Founded by Bartenders.” Social Hour is the joint creation of Julie Reiner, known as one of the leading pioneers of New York’s cocktail culture for the last twenty years, having founded (among others) Pegu Club, Clover Club and Leyenda, and Tom Macy, Julie’s bartender and now partner at Clover Club. Their aim was to put into a can a cocktail as good (or even better) than what they made from scratch behind their bar, and each of their offerings focuses on made-in-New York ingredients. Their Whiskey Mule brings together Ragtime Rye Whiskey, a blend of 3-6-year-old ryes, with citrus-forward ginger beer for a spicy, refreshing summertime crusher.
