1792 Small Batch Bourbon is a higher-end bourbon from Barton, itself one of a number of bourbon brands owned by Sazerac. The name refers to the year Kentucky gained statehood. It is produced in six different “limited edition” expressions, one of which is this Bottled in Bond. This is a well-aged bourbon from barrels all filled during the same season, bottled at 100 proof for a bold taste and lingering finish. There are notes of spice, charred oak, and fresh mint with flavors of coffee and black pepper balanced by subtle caramel and apple tones.
