Located a bit more than twenty miles south of Strasbourg on the Route du Vin d'Alsace, this is a fine estate founded in 1896 by the Willm family; today they produce a wide selection of top-flight Alsace wines as well as a range of classic eaux-de-vie, including this framboise. This is a clear fruit brandy traditionally made from alcohol that has been infused with fresh raspberries, then distilled to concentrate the aromas. The ripe raspberry aromas and flavors are heightened with just a hint of licorice.
