Cardhu is a Speyside distiller founded in 1824 by whisky smuggler John Cumming and his wife Helen. The distillery is now run by drinks behemoth Diageo, and the distillery's production makes up an important part of the Johnnie Walker blended whiskies. Cardhu remains, however, a much-loved single malt, easygoing and charming. Aged four years longer than the regular 12-year expression, this bottling combines the distillery's characteristic orchard fruit, barley sugar malt and cake spices with richer tropical fruit and vanilla notes.
