Independent, family-owned and Kentucky-bred, this distillery’s aim is to provide a “new riff” on an old tradition: Kentucky bourbon. It was founded in 2014 by Ken Lewis, a visionary Kentucky retailer and entrepreneur, and is led by a team of corporate refugees ranging from craft beer to politics. This is a high rye bourbon, bottled in bond and without chill filtration, a minimum of four years of age; with hints of vanilla and rye on the nose, it is broad on the palate with lots of rye spices and a long rich finish.
